FAQ

What you think and how you think about it has affected every choice you have made to date

What is The Forum?
The Forum is an Experience Based, Transformational Training Program, which allows individuals to create and achieve their own results.

When you lecture people, they will most likely lose the information within several weeks; however if you work to achieve your own conclusions and truths, then that information will remain with you for the rest of your life
Where does it come from?
The Forum workshops were originally discovered by Dr. Victor Frankl, who observed that when people were exposed to a set of emotional responses in a specific order, that something quite profound happened to them. This has been grown substantially over the past 60 years, with input from some of the top universities in the world, to include experiential processes, games and music.
What’s the difference between Formal Psychology and The Forum?
Conventional psychotherapy is largely dependent on cognitive learning. The Forum’s learning is based in Logotherapy and is experiential, so it is both quicker and longer lasting.
Unlike conventional therapy, The Forum doesn’t focus on why something happened, but rather on the fact that it did happen. Participants learn how to prevent past events from influencing the present, thereby limiting their future.
We have recognised that to create a shift in peoples lives does not require lengthy periods as is the norm in conventional therapy. The Forum gives highly effective results in very short spaces of time.
Is it Religious?
No! People from all religions and beliefs have attended The Forum. They have found that it strengthens the religious beliefs they hold.
Is it a Cult?
The Forum is a finite two day transformational workshop.
You don’t become a member, nor do you belong to any group once you have completed it. You may participate and assist if you wish to. The Forum is all about Personal Transformation, not any specific truth. It is about the results you wish to create in your life.
Why all the Secrecy?
As The Forum is experiential it is almost impossible to relate individuals learning. (How do you explain the taste or smell of something you have never tasted or smelt before?). Also, if the specifics of the processes and games were revealed to you, you would lose the benefits of The Forum, (like reading the last page of a good book first!)
What am I going to Learn about Myself ?
We hold the view that who you really are is great! You will learn about you … and you will recognise that you are all that is great.
If you are afraid to find out about yourself, then you already hold yourself in a negative light, and are masking it. If there is anything negative about you, you will have the opportunity to confront and correct it. Ultimately it is only you that needs to find that out. You will also get resolve to whatever issues you bring to The Forum.
Is it wise to attend The Forum with my Family or Friends?
The Forum is about you as an individual, and not about you and your respective family member or friend, (although the outcome will certainly strengthen bonds). If you attend a movie with a friend, you still see the same movie, however your experiences of the same movie will be different, and you learn a lot by sharing viewpoints with one another. Should you attend The Forum together you would be able to share viewpoints and certainly travel to The Forum together … nonetheless your experiences will be unique.
If it were not possible to attend The Forum together, we would recommend that you go first!
Why The Forum and not some other Transformation Workshop?
There are very few qualified Therapists handling Personal Transformation, so it’s unlikely that you will come across anything quite like this. There are nonetheless a few organisations in South Africa offering three to five day EST workshops as Personal Transformation Training, typically under the guise of “New Age Spirituality”.
We offer profound two day, (over a weekend), experiential transformation workshops, with guaranteed results. Other than the investment of a weekend, what have you got to lose?
